Compliance with Solicitors Code of Conduct

ActionMove is a Marketing and Services Company which provides Conveyancing Services in England and Wales. ActionMove is not a legal practice and cannot give legal advice.

We comply with the new Solicitors Code of Conduct published by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority. Any ActionMove Panel Solicitor (“APS”) to whom we refer you is an independent professional, from whom you will receive impartial and confidential advice. You are free to choose another Conveyancing Solicitor.

ActionMove will provide Conveyancing Services via one of its handpicked panel of locally based firms of Solicitors. All professional work will be undertaken directly for you and on your behalf by the APS. The advice and service you get from the APS is, and will remain, personal and confidential, and subject to your instructions. You will be free to raise questions on all aspects of your transaction.

The Conveyancing Services provided will be the sale/purchase/re-mortgage of freehold or leasehold domestic property. The standard legal fees payable by you to the APS are detailed in their Quotation. A full list of any additional charges and disbursements, which may be relevant to your transaction, will be provided by the APS before you agree to proceed. There will be NO UNEXPECTED FEES TO PAY.

By accepting the Quotation you authorise us to refer your transaction to an APS. You confirm you have not already appointed a solicitor to deal with the transaction nor do you wish to do so.
The APS will be notified to you when you confirm your wish to proceed with the transaction based on the Quotation. Unless you notify us or the APS to the contrary you give permission for the APS to communicate relevant information concerning your transaction to ActionMove

Where your matter does not proceed to completion you will be responsible for fees and disbursements to date. You may wish to take out insurance with your APS at a small additional cost. Details will be provided from the APS.

ActionMove will be remunerated by the APS out of the overall fees you pay following completion of your transaction. This cost is paid by the APS themselves and paid out of their direct marketing budgets and has no affect on the legal fees that you yourself will pay to the APS as a client. ActionMove will pay the introducing Estate Agent a fee of £100 per transaction, plus VAT.

The availability and price of any other services offered to you from time to time will not be affected whether you choose the APS or decide to instruct another solicitor.
