New HIP Rules in force today

From today Monday the 6th April, new Rules apply when you put your property on the market for sale.

There are 3 main rule changes:

1. A new form called Property Information Questionnaire must be included. This provides information such as Council Tax Bands, parking arrangements, and if Leasehold details of the Lease along with information on service charges

2. The Local Search must contain information that is available form the
Local Authority. The reliance on insurance for missing information has been removed.

3. Most importantly you can no longer market your property for sale without the HIP actually in place, and not merely ordered as previously.
