The Government has suspended HIPs with a view to permanently abolishing them.
Nevertheless, you must still commission an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) before marketing your property for sale in England and Wales
An EPC is a certificate which will rate your property on a scale of A-G:
- How energy efficient the property is
- The impact of the property on the environment
The most efficient property, which has the lowest running costs, will come into band A. Recommendations are included in the certificate about ways to improve energy-efficiency, to save costs and environmental impact

We use a local Energy Assessors Company run by Darren Evans DEA Assessments Ltd of 14 High Street Chipping Sodbury South Gloucestershire to provide our EPCs for properties in the Bristol and South Gloucestershire Region. We will use other local Assessors in your locality if different.
